Whether you're a seasoned pro, or you are recording for the first time, here are some tips to remember.

Don't rush into the vocal booth before you are ready. Try recording yourself on your phone before hitting the studio and listen back and take note of what you like and what you want to correct.

It's better to have your lyrics and melody memorized so you can focus on the delivery and message of the song.

Plan for how many songs to record. Have a clear idea of what you want to accomplish in the studio for that day.

Love your instrument! Treat it well and it will deliver with respect. Stay hydrated, bring extra strings, picks, sticks, whatever will make your instrument perform at it's peak level.
